Pamper time with Harrods'
A NUMBER of lucky Wexford dogs received a real treat on Saturday when they were treated to a day of pampering.
The lucky pooches were brought to Petmaster on the Newtown Road for a WSPCA fundraiser, featuring one of London's top pet stylists.
Sara Hussein, stylist for the pets of the rich and famous at Harrods in London, brought her skills to Wexford on behalf of the WSPCA.
She teamed up with Tony from Dial a Dog Wash who attended the event with his mobile dog wash unit. All donations on the day were in aid of the WSPCA.
Brigid Cullen of the WSPCA said that they were delighted with how the day went, with a number of dog owners turning up to see their pet pooches get pampered by the experts.
She added that they were delighted with the support shown for the event and they raised a total of €810, which far exceeded their expectations.
As well as all raising some much-needed funds for the WSPCA, the animal welfare organisation also used the opportunity of the showcase at the Wexford store to re-home five dogs.
Brigid expressed her sincere thanks to Sara and Tony, on behalf of the WSPCA, for their generous support.
